Open to internships & collaborations

Hi, I'm Rajat.
Learning to build
things for the web.

I'm a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) student at Dr. Virendra Swarup Institute of Computer Studies, Kanpur — batch of 2026–2029. I'm learning programming fundamentals from the ground up and building small things to make it stick.

01 — About

Curious student,
hands-on builder.

I'm Rajat, a first-year BCA student at Dr. Virendra Swarup Institute of Computer Studies, Kanpur. My journey started with C in the classroom and quickly turned into a habit of writing programs at home to see what I could make work.

I started with the smallest possible steps — a hello world, then a calculator, then a program that checks whether someone is old enough to vote. From there I joined Team Code Debuggers and we built a full-stack municipal corporation portal with role-based access for citizens and officers and real-time complaint registration, backed by Express.js and SQLite.

I'm still early, and I'm okay with that. I'd rather build something small, break it, fix it and learn — than wait until I know everything. If you're building something and want an extra pair of hands, I'd love to help.

  • A three-year undergraduate programme covering programming, data structures, DBMS, operating systems, computer networks and software engineering.
  • Building small projects alongside coursework to apply what I study — from C programs to a full-stack team project.
  • Interested in internships where I can learn from a real team and contribute to real code.

Municipal Corporation Portal

A full-stack municipal corporation portal with role-based access for citizens and officers, real-time complaint registration, and a persistent backend. Built with Team Code Debuggers — my first time working on a real multi-user application end to end.

First project

Calculator

My very first project — a calculator written in C. Small, but it's where the whole journey started.

C

Age Verification Program

A C program that decides whether a person is legally old enough to vote based on the age they enter — my first taste of conditionals doing real work.

C Logic

First Steps in C

The beginning: hello world and a beginner-friendly program demonstrating basic user input and output with standard library functions.

Current focus

What I'm actually spending my week on, so this section stays honest as I grow.

  1. 01

Get solid with C and the fundamentals

Loops, arrays, strings, functions and pointers through regular practice — building the base before chasing frameworks.

  2. 02

    Go deeper into web development

JavaScript fundamentals, then Node.js and Express — so I can build complete apps like the municipal portal on my own.

  3. 03

    Keep shipping, in public

Every program goes on GitHub, even the small ones — because finished beats perfect while you're learning.
